Women’s Abnormal Leucorrhea – A "Barometer" of Sexual Health

Leucorrhea is the normal secretion of women’s private parts and a "barometer" of women’s sexual health. Changes in the color, texture, smell and other aspects of leucorrhea may indicate health problems in private parts that need timely attention and conditioning.

Normal leucorrhea should be white or milky white, thin in texture, odorless, and the amount will change with the menstrual cycle. The amount is less before and after menstruation, and more during ovulation. These are normal physiological phenomena. If leucorrhea has the following conditions, it means there may be health problems:

  1. Abnormal color of leucorrhea, such as yellow, green, gray, bloodshot, etc.; 2. Abnormal texture of leucorrhea, such as tofu residue-like, foamy, purulent, etc.; 3. Abnormal odor of leucorrhea, such as fishy smell, stench, etc.; 4. Abnormal increase in the amount of leucorrhea, accompanied by itching, redness and swelling and other discomfort symptoms.

Abnormal leucorrhea is mostly related to gynecological inflammation, such as vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. When abnormal leucorrhea occurs, adjust living habits in time, keep private parts clean and dry, avoid sitting for a long time, eat less spicy and irritating food, and do not use drugs by yourself. If the symptoms last for a long time, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, find out the cause and treat symptomatically to avoid aggravating the condition and affecting personal sexual health.

Women should develop the habit of observing leucorrhea, find abnormalities in time and deal with them in time to protect private part health and stay away from gynecological inflammation.
